Traction School of Governance and Business (TSGB) is a post-modern institution established in 2017 to offer professional and academic courses in Governance, Accounting and Finance, Business, and related areas. The institution is an affiliate of Scribe Services (www.scriberegistrars.com) which specializes in compliance, be it with statutory requirements, industry regulations or internal policies and procedures. Since inception, the institution has admitted students across different nationalities and diverse cultures with the goal to bridge the existing gap in the diminishing number of governance and business professionals.  Traction continues to maintain a steady growth in the number of courses and trainings to respond to the changing market dynamics. Over the past few years, Traction has produced sterling performance, while at the same time maintaining strong relationships with key corporate partners.

Our products range is carefully selected to cater for individuals who aspire to become technicians and professionals particularly in governance and business. The governance and business courses are critical in achieving high professional standards both in the country and globally. TSGB has acquired state of the art infrastructure to empower students on personal development and innovation. TSGB is an established training institution that has been accredited by: TVETA (Technical And Vocational Education and Training Authority), TVET CDACC (The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council), kasneb (Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board), NITA (National Industrial Training Authority), and KUCCPS (Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service). TSGB aims to fasten the weaves of our social fabric of the community by producing governance professionals who will be front runners in promoting good corporate governance at whatever position they hold in society.

Certified Secretaries (CS)

These are Practitioners in corporate governance, corporate secretarial practice, consultancy, business management and administration and human resources management.

Certified Public Accountants (CPA)

Certified Public Accountants are skilled and competent professional accountants, auditors, finance managers, tax consultants and practitioners.

Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD)

Equips the candidates with skills and competences to work as middle level accountants providing technical support in accounting, auditing and taxation.

Certified Investment & Financial Analyst (CIFA)

Certified Investment and Financial Analysts are experts in financial analysis, consultants and practitioners in investments and securities, portfolio management of retirement benefit schemes and investment banking.

Certificate in Accounting & Management Skills (CAMS)

Equips candidates with skills and competencies to provide basic accounting and management services to non-governmental organizations and public sector.

Diploma in Corporate Governance

The Diploma is curated to assist professionals to understand the principles behind how organizations are directed and controlled for the long-term interest of the shareholders.

Management Team

CS. Sammy Ikingi

Sammy is the Chairman of the Board at Traction School of Governance & Business and the Senior Partner at Scribe Services. He has wide experience in provision of Company Secretarial and related support services. He also supervises a broad portfolio that includes regulated Companies and PLCs.  Additionally, he offers specialist legal support in: new applications for licensed entities, restructuring and re-organization, Corporate Governance Training, acting as an Executive coach, and conducting Board evaluations. He is well versed in Corporate laws and other statutory regulations in Kenya. Sammy is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Secretaries  (FCS) and an accredited Governance Auditor. He has served on the Steering Committee of the College of Fellows and on the Professional Standards and Ethics Committee of the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS)

Management Team

CS. Bernard Kiragu

Bernard is Executive Director at Traction School of Governance & Business, and the Managing Partner at Scribe Services. He is a Certified Secretary with more than 15 years’ practising experience, providing Company Secretarial and Statutory compliance advisory to entities across all sectors. His areas of expertise include Corporate Governance, Board Structures and processes, Board evaluations, Board and Committee Charters. Bernard is also a member of the Membership and Advocacy committee of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya. He has been providing Corporate Services to major international companies with subsidiaries or branches registered in Kenya. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya, and the Institute of Directors (K) and holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Bernard is also an accredited Governance Auditor and an authorised tax agent.
